My visits to the Department of Statistics at the University of Florida in Gainesville:
My first visit was during the fall term of 2000. Here are the slides (in postscript) of my Seminar on
Computational Aspects of Quadrature Methods in Random Effects Models
hold on November, 30, 2000. Shortly afterwards in 2001 I was again allowed to spend another entire fall semester
there and taught two Sections of Regression Analysis, a senior
undergraduate course. As already my first visit, I very much enjoyed this stay and found time to explore the
most exciting regions in Florida. Here are my favourite photographs
documenting all the beauty of this State.
Research Interests: Generalized Linear (Mixed) Models, Random Effect Models, Categorical Data Analysis,
Resampling (Bootstrap, Jackknife, Cross-Validation).
