HOW TO JOIN THE SOCIETY
Currently, there are two easy manageable options offered to become either a regular or a student member or to continue membership to the society:

by electronic registration by filling out the online membership form, either choose "regular member" or "student member", and submit it to the Society. Such an individual will become a member starting from January 1st of the same year that (s)he joined until December 31th of that year.

or to join as a fully registered participant of the yearly International Workshop on Statistical Modelling. Such an individual will become a member starting from January 1st of the year in which (s)he participated in the IWSM until December 31th of that year.

It is understood that the status "student" needs to be proved by an official letter from their University written and signed by the promotor of the student or the Dean of the Faculty. It is also understood that the student is a "full-time" student and not a "part-time" student.
The yearly membership fee is subject to regular review and will be determined by the Executive Committee. Your Benefits from joining the Society are diversified:

Regular members get one copy of Statistical Modelling: An International Journal (all issues in the calendar year of joining).

Members receive all publications on statistical modelling produced by and/or in co-operation with the society for the calendar year in which (s)he has joined the society.

When registering for the International Workshop on Statistical Modelling members who have already paid their subscription for that year will be entitled to a reduction in the registration fee for the IWSM to the value of their society subscription (regular or student)
At the moment the Society has almost 200 international members coming from all continents of the world.

During July 20-24, 2009, the workshop will be held at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, USA.
The IWSM24 is hosted by Cornell University.
Themes and invited speakers are being arranged.
